Inclusive Facilities and Services
As part of the University’s commitment to making HKUST a place where learning, living, working is a positive experience for our staff and students, we offer an array of inclusive facilities, support, and services designed to address diverse needs and promote equal opportunities.
Accessible Facilities and Services
The University is dedicated to ensuring our facilities and services are accessible to every member of the University, including individuals with disabilities. By incorporating inclusive design and supportive features, we aim to remove barriers and provide an equitable experience for the HKUST community.
Students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) Services and Support
The University takes a proactive role in ensuring and cultivating a positive learning environment for students. In support of guaranteeing equal opportunities in academic and non-academic pursuits for each student, SEN Support coordinates services to provide reasonable academic accommodations or adjustments to courses for students with SEN, disabilities and/or temporary health conditions.
For Under-represented Groups
To create a safe and supportive environment for under-represented groups—including women, LGBTQ+ individuals, etc., the following support services have been established. These initiatives aim to promote equality, facilitate information exchange and provide valuable peer support for all community members.
Interfaith Prayer and Meditation Place
The Interfaith Prayer and Meditation Place offers a tranquil setting for spiritual reflection and practice, providing a peaceful environment for personal contemplation and shared serenity.
